Srinagar, Dec 05 (KF): The police have attached two residential properties linked to individuals associated with terrorist activities in South Kashmir.
As per a statement to the news agency Kashmir Front (KF), one of the properties is owned by Mohd Shafi Dar, father of terrorist Adnan Shafi Dar, and is located in Wandina on four marlas of land. The second property belongs to Abdul Majeed Koka, father-in-law of terrorist associate Sajad Ahmad Khah, situated in Melhoora on seven marlas of land. Both properties are valued at ₹50 lakh.
The attachments were conducted under the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UA(P) Act) as part of Case FIR No. 94/2024 registered at Zainapora Police Station. The police ensured all legal protocols were followed, with revenue authorities making the necessary entries in official records and issuing notices prohibiting the sale or transfer of the properties.
The police emphasized that this move is a significant step in curbing unlawful activities and maintaining security in the region. The operation was carried out under the supervision of a police team and an Executive Magistrate, showcasing a coordinated effort to uphold peace and order. (KF)
